NXAI PAN Botswana

African Journey Collection - Nxai Pan

Product description

Nxai Pan National Park in northern Botswana comprises 2,600km2 of Kalahari grassland and scrub. This remote reserve attracts great herds of Burchell's Zebra and Springbok after good summer rains but is perhaps best-known for the iconic Baines' Baobabs - a cluster of giant trees that have hardly changed in size and shape since they were immortalised in paintings by the artist-adventurer Thomas Baines in 1862. In this design, a nocturnal Aardvark crosses the Kudaikam Pan, watched by a Barn Owl under a sickle moon. There are many superb campsites in Botswana but this may be the best.
