Confessions of a Pandemic Mother

This book is a personal experience of navigating teenagers through Lockdown 2020. It provides a humorous, yet raw and honest account of the many roles that mothers play in the lives of their children. You will laugh out loud and have tears streaming down your face at the same time.

Motherhood is a calling to unconditional love and self-sacrifice. It is a gift. All mothers love their children and feel truly blessed to be their primary source of education, nourishment and solace. Children provide enormous pride and endless joy, yet there is no training manual or guidebook on motherhood. We learn through our children, from the support of other mothers and by failing – time and time again.

In 2020, we were thrust into a new role for which we again had no training manual. This time however, our children were also floundering and we were deprived of a support structure. Doubt, despair and hopelessness crept in. We made mistakes….. we failed – over and over again. Or did we?

The book highlights and acknowledges these mistakes that we all make and shows how some of life’s greatest lessons are learnt through the greatest failures at the toughest of times, taught by the most unexpected teachers. It is dedicated to all the unacknowledged supermoms and to our children who will always inspire and challenge us in the most unexpected manner!
