State Creation, Nationhood, Nationalism and Ethnicity in Southern Africa: The Case of Botswana and South Africa

The need to go back in history is an honest attempt to remind, retell and drive a reader to where it all started, through generation to the contemporary Southern Africa. With political activism at its all time high, especially in South Africa, there is no time like this, to offer the correct contextual appreciation of the colonial past in Southern Africa, which naturally places everyone in the same footing of awareness.

This is necessitated by the observations that current political polemics, regrettably, seem to be tied to the recent history of emergence of apartheid and concomitant spirited political which led to armed liberations and lengthy incarcerations.
